Create Encrypted Files

1) Click on "Create Attached File" icon in CHIBI NINJA Mail Writer (red circle of above image). Encrypt Panel appears.

2) Drag and Drop a file onto the Encrypt Panel. The encrypted file is made into the "encrypt" folder in "ChibiNinjaMail" folder.

3) Drag and Drop the encrypted file into a comment part of your mail message.
Do not put it into the part of encrypted message. See sample image. It must be above mail ID.

You can not make an encrypted file over 18 characters of original file name and two-byte characters file name.

There are two option buttons on the right bottom of the Encrypt Panel. Left one is "make compressed file", and right one is "open folder".
• "Compressed" creates "gzip-compressd" file first, then encrypts the file. "gzip-compressd" makes smaller file size, but JPEG image is not made much smaller.
• If you marked "open" folder button, "encrypted" folder in the CHIBI NINJA mail opens after encrypted file is made.
Caution: Windows systems with Norton AutoProtect installed may cause a crash. Do not mark "open" folder.

File Name is Changed

Encrypted File: original file name + "_ang.txt"
Compressed & Encrypted File: original file name + ".gz_ang.txt"

Secure Trash

If you like to delete an original file after an ecryption permanetly, drag and drop the file onto a trash icon which is the top right. Or click the icon and select the file name from a list view window. It overwrites the file with erroneous data. This is only Mac OS version.

Request Receipt Message

Select a check box "Request Receipt" which is the top part of CHIBI NINJA Mail Writer.
A recipient cannot decrypt your CHIBI NINJA mail message until he/she sends a receipt to you. This function works only for a message and an attached image, not for decrypted attached files.

Before you create a requested receipt message, you have to set your mail account information. A sender needs an Email Address only. A recipient has to put every information.
